Hat Hire Terms & Conditions

PAYMENT & CANCELLATIONS

When hiring a hat in person, full payment (hat hire fee+deposit) is required if your hat hire date is confirmed. Your preferred choice of hat cannot be held for your event without payment. Availability of stock is subject to change.

If your event is the same week as your appointment you are eligible to take your hat hire the same day at no extra cost. For hires chosen in advance, we will schedule a designated time and date for you to collect your hat or we can organise a courier at an additional cost to you.

You will be required to provide current debit or credit card details for a valid card you are authorised to use, we will hold these details on file until the hat is returned. By agreeing to this service you authorise us to bill you for any damages and late return fees.

If you wish to cancel your order, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing charlottes.finishing.touch@hotmail.com. We require a minimum of 14 days prior to your hire date for a full refund to be honoured. The full hire price will be charged for cancellations outside of the 14 day cancellation period.

Please note once a hat has been hired &/or posted to you it is considered a hired. There will be no refund due.

 

LATE RETURNS & UNRETURNED FEES

All hired hats must be returned in the same condition as received from Charlotte's Finishing Touch.

If a hat hire is not returned within the agreed timeframe or is returned damaged, additional charges will be applied.

All rented products must be received back to Charlotte's Finishing Touch no later than 2 days following your event date (unless agreed otherwise and confirmed in writing). Any Products not received back to us within 2 days of your event shall be deemed as needing a "rental extension" charged at the same rate as the original hat hire. Each week thereafter, a rental extension fee of £60.00 will be charged to the original payment card used to pay for the rental. If you do not return the rented item(s) within twenty-one (21) days from your event date your items will be considered unreturned and Charlotte's Finishing Touch will charge your payment card for the Retail Value of your item(s) as declared at time of booking your rental.


DAMAGES & LOSS

For hired hats returned in the same condition as orginally received, we will return your full deposit within 10 business days.

As per the waiver signed at your appointment (via email if hired via online) - you forfeit your deposit if the product is damaged or lost. Damage of the hat includes any dents to the hat, brim, loss of decorations, makeup marks (on the inside & outside) and water/rain damage. The waiver covers only damages that can be repaired through minor millinery repair service. If we determine that a hired Product is damaged beyond repair, or if a hired Product is not returned, you will be charged an Unreturned Fee for the item. Unauthorized alterations made to a Product will result in an additional charge.

Please note the hats and headpieces are very vulnerable if subjected to rain. They should be kept under an umbrella at all times.

 

GROUP APPOINTMENTS - "MAKE A DAY OF IT"

For group bookings of 4 or more, we require a deposit of £10.00 per person for the appointment. If you hire one of our products the £10.00 initial deposit will be taken off the booking fee for the hat hire. If a product isn't hired your deposit will be forfeited. We will give you each a glass of champagne whilst you try your outfits on.
